Shoes Named Lulu
I bought Kizie a pair shoes at work yesterday. I'll give them to her when my mom's in Chicago having her surgery. Now, I'm just not sure if the Kiz will like them...

Blankets
Last week when I was patiently waiting the three hours at Spectrum South during my Glucose test, I had nothing to do.
But, Tim did bring me a laptop. Hmm... wifi? Let's do some online window shopping.
I became obsessed with finding a blanket on Etsy for LuLu. I actually did pick out two each, but I'll probably wait til LuLu is here, because they're very "boy" or "girl".
But, look how cute!
Orange Rockets!
Pink Owls!
Brown Cowboys!
Pink Paper Dolls!
Note: Many of you have asked the results of the three hour glucose test. I haven't heard anything, so I can only surmise that I passed. If I hadn't, they would have made me meet with a dietitian by now. I have an appointment on Monday, so I'll know for sure then. The reason I think I failed the one hour test so miserably is that I was rather stressed that morning about some random cupcake issue. Stress causes extra sugars to be released into your blood stream. So, if you ever need to take a glucose screening test -- relax!

March 19
My mom is having another surgery for her evil Trigemenial Neurolgia on Thursday, March 19 --in Chicago with this really sweet specialist. Apparently he's done a bunch of these surgeries and only 3 people have recurring pain after. That would be completely amazing.
In around 80 days...
Little Baby LuLu will be coming home. And LuLu, being my child, needs to make a fashionable first appearance here at home.
I first bought a unisex outfit for Lulu.

It has little acorns on it!! How perfect is that?
It goes perfectly with the hat I bought on Etsy last summer!

But then, I thought, what if Kizie's right and LuLu is a girl? Would I want her first outfit to be so gender neutral? (She would definitely still wear the acorn outfit later!)
Now, I know you're thinking pink, and you might be surprised! The outfit actually is more green and white!

And, I had to get the matching little hat!

So, my little boy would get to wear acorns home and my little girl would get to wear fairytale castles. That sounds about right.
12ish weeks and we will know.

Chicago photo
Amy requested a belly shot with my eyes. I don't have one, because we take them all from the same perspective so that the growth is more apparent. But! I do have this picture from when Tim and I went to Chicago!

Tim's grandparents(? erm, someone) went to Archer Ave CRC, so we had to take this picture.

This is the outfit that got rave reviews when I wore it to work. Whenever I wear actually maternity clothes that have a band above the belly I look decidedly more pregnant.

I can't be the only one.
I posted about this on my facebook status update, but no one commented. Really? Am I the only one?
I love the Today Show. I watch it whenever I can. One of the weekend anchors, Amy Robach has been on a lot during the week lately. And, every single time they mention her name, I think they say, "Amy Robot".
Really? It's just me?
*sigh*

28 weeks
So, these pictures are pretty unflattering... I was wearing a sweater over this white shirt, so I actually looked better today. And, my hair was fantastic, which is totally not visible in these shots. But, I will post them for you anyway.

I feel like I look smaller and higher than last week. Weird. Also, I have outgrown some of my pajama pants. It's pretty said when you put on pajama pants and they don't fit. Luckily, I still have three pairs that do. (I may have a slight pajama obsession.)

News of the Day
Yes, it is time for a 28 week belly shot, and I'll make Tim take that picture later. But, I have a few items of interest first. It's been a busy week, so I haven't had time to write anything.
1.) Most of you know about my mom and Trigemenial Neurolgia. It's quite evil and two(three?) weekends ago was the worst pain it's ever been. Tomorrow she and my dad are going to Chicago because she has an appointment with a specialist there. It's only the consultation, but hopefully they can come up with something.
2.) I finally picked out a new stroller! I think I still like the pattern better on my old one, but this one has the new Snugride 32. I really like the idea of the infant seat lasting for a longer time period. It's the same stroller, just in the Townsend pattern. They have it online at Babies R Us, but it's much cheaper from Amazon.
3.) Matt and Kizie were in Airband Friday night. Kizie was disappointed that they didn't win an award this year. She's spoiled. But, she was a cute little pirate and chimpanzee. She danced a lot more this year.
I think that's all. Check back later for your weekly picture.

27 weeks
That's right, only three months left. They better go fast!

There is one tiny small good thing about my stroller being gone. This year(2009) Graco is coming out with a new Snugride infant seat that goes up to 32 lbs. The one that came with my travel system was only up to 22 lbs. I like the Lemon Grass pattern that it comes in, but there doesn't seem to be a matching stroller. It's all very curious.
Yes, I do know that there are other stroller brands out there, but I actually really like the Graco Quatto Tour. It's the stroller we had/have for Kizie, so I know I like pushing it.
Tomorrow is the Glucose test. I'm not that excited.
Oh!! Tim and I had breakfast yesterday with Robin, Jason and Colin. Oh my goodness is that little boy cute! He would just grin at me over the table. He was so good the entire time we were out. I hope I get a good baby too!

sad.
My stroller was discontinued and mysteriously pulled from the shelves. If there's a safety issue, I don't really want it...
But, my stroller!!! All the other patterns are either so boy, girl or ugly. Brown and green with ferns was so perfect for us.
*sigh* This depresses me way more than it should.
Babies R Us -- You should totally find a way to bring back the Quattro Tour in Catalina.

26 weeks
Here I am, definitely bigger than last week!

Notice the sweet necklace placement...

I bought this necklace the last week of January and I've been wearing it pretty much every day. I love it.

Best. Outfit. Ever.
26 week picture will come later, but I should have taken it yesterday. I couldn't decide what to wear in the morning, so I broke out this white sleeveless top I got at Old Navy for about $1.50 last November. I added a cream cashmere cardigan from ages ago(so old it's an extra-small, but miraculously still fits, not buttoned of course) and a necklace we currently are selling at The Crew. It was pretty cute.
But, I didn't realize how cute. I had three, yes three, customers tell me I was the cutest pregnant women they have ever seen. I don't care if they tell every pregnant women they meet that, because yesterday -- I felt good.

100 days
LuLu should be here around 100 days from now. Weird.
Hopefully it's not more like 114 days from now... I'd like 93! Unfortunately, this is one thing I can't really plan!

Baby's New Ride
So, Tim has wanted a Chariot for LuLu from before he/she was conceived. You think I'm joking... It is the stroller to have amongst his friends. I'm pretty sure they all have one. He has been scouring Craigslist with no luck. I was telling my mom about this the other day, and did she ever have a find today!
She went to The Outpost to look for something and found they had two Chariots on closeout as floor models. I told her I would probably go look at them tomorrow, but wanted to know what models they were. She went back and found that one was a single and one was a double. The double was the Cougar 2, with a bajillion accessories, listed at a price below what it would be for the chassis alone. I told her that I thought I just wanted her to buy it, as we had some money saved for it and this was a sweet deal. It came with a cargo rack, fenders, jogging brake, strolling wheels, handle bar bag, rain cover and travel bag. The only things I would probably still get later are the infant sling and the bike trailer attachment. Maybe the jogging wheel too. If Tim wants the skiing harness, that will be his money!
The reason we got the double is that you can remove one harness and use it for just one. That way, we won't have an obsolete stroller when baby number 2 decides to come along. Or, my baby can ride with Dykhouse's future yet-to-be-conceived baby. She's mentioned she wants Tim to cross-country ski pulling our kids!

So, now Tim can fit in with his friends. I'm still looking forward to my Graco Catalina stroller!
