I had kind of thought the odd personal questions like, "So, when are you going to have another baby?" and "Don't you think Tillie's getting kind of old, when's the next one coming?" would stop after we announced that I was pregnant. I guess since blogging, facebook, twitter all lend to over-sharing people expect everyone to do it, so they continue on.
When did you find out?
Right away at 4 weeks. I don't feel the need to tell every single person the moment I find out. Last time we had to tell family right away because of some appointments, but it was kind of nice having a secret for a while. I also hate telling people. It's just so awkward to me. It's kind of weird, because I knew everyone would be excited.
We told my family by showing up at their house with Tillie in the big sister t-shirt. Tim just told his dad that night because we had already taken the shirt off. His mom and Dan were out of town, so we e-mailed the picture to them. So much better than me having to say anything.
How are you feeling?
When people ask this, I always wonder if they really want to know or if it's become something you're required to ask pregnant women. It just feels weird to me. If I was getting sick every morning/afternoon/night, would I really want to talk about it? Thankfully, I feel fine as long as I eat a little protein all day, especially in the morning. It can sometimes be hard to find things to eat because nothing sounds good. Tim knows that the one thing that I want that day will be what we're having for dinner. Today is lasagna.
Was it a surprise?/Was it planned?
I got this one more with Tillie, but I'm still hearing it a little now. Really, I think this is a question that could be asked only by a super-close friend. But, they'd probably be the kind of friend who already knew before the pregnancy was announce. Yes, this baby was planned just as Tillie was. It actually took us much longer to get pregnant this time, but that's another blog post.
Are you going to find out what it is?
Eh, this one's not so bad. We're not finding out though. I think it's a million times more fun this way. I know there are many people who disagree with that though! With Tillie we were the only people in our childbirth class who did not find out.
Are you hoping for a boy?
Okay, no one has actually said this one yet, but I'm sure it's coming. We really don't care. There are some days when I'm hoping for a boy because we already have a girl. There are other days when I'm hoping for a girl for a sister for Tillie who can wear all the adorable outfits I already have. I have great relationships with both my brothers and sister, so I know either will be awesome.
I know there are more that I can't remember right now. If any other moms/pregnant women have any questions they were asked all the time, post them below. I'll add to my list.

I always got "are you excited?"...seriously. If I wasn't, would I tell them? Glad you're mostly feeling okay and that things seem to be going well!
Are you going to have another after this one? Or better yet, if this one is a girl are you going to try again for a boy?
I'm with you on the annoying personal questions, I particularly hate the "was it planned?".
Also I loved not knowing the sex or our baby, it was a lot of fun.
People find the need to ask me all the time how I am doing or feeling. It's strange to me because I never had morning sickness and am way past that point so I don't know why they ask all the time?! How bout asking when I am 7-9 months and huge!?
I don't so much get questions these days as one very common comment: "You must be due any day!" nope...over 3 months to go, but thanks for making me feel GREAT today :)
