So, last week was my last week at J. Crew. I don't know that it's really felt real yet because every so often I'd have weeks off. When I started working there I was 23, lived at home and shared a room with my baby sister. It's crazy to think how much my life has changed since then! I worked there for a month short of 8 years and have the wardrobe to go along with it. I will miss working with the people and clothing, but it's going to be nice to have a Christmas that I don't have to plan around a work schedule.
Tillie started preschool on Tuesday. She loves it, but she has a tough time with the transitions. She doesn't want to stop playing on the playground. She doesn't want to stop coloring. She bursts into tears whenever she sees me walk in the door. I have to guess that it's not the only time she cries. I'm going to be honest and say I didn't think I'd have "that kid". I know she's trying though. Today on the way home we talked about how we need to listen to what teacher says and do it right away. She grumbled, but then with a smile said, "I kept my shoes on!" That was another one of Tuesday's troubles.
So far Teddy and I have run errands during the time Tillie's at school. I think he would be bored and cranky if Tillie wasn't around in the mornings. I think it will be weird to be home without her too. I think we'll try it next week, because going to the Gap every Tuesday and Thursday is going to get expensive. (But hey, markdowns were 40% off today! And, I only bought presents.)

Holy cow, 8 years!?! I remember when you were just interviewing for the job. Time flies.
