We had the ultrasound on Tuesday. I'd post the pics, but I don't have a scanner here. You'll just have to come to my house. Or my mom's. Or Tim's school.
And, we're having.......
A BABY!
Sheesh. It's still too early to tell what the gender is. Also, we don't plan on finding out until sometime next May. From what I could see now, we're having a cross between a baby and a Mexican jumping bean. This baby can move! The heart rate was 167 beats per minute. Anything from 100 to 200 is normal. LuLu was measuring right on target for my due date.
Everything was great. I can tell LuLu is going to be a cute one!

Auntie Kiz takes Chicago
My mom, Kizie and I went to Chicago this past Thursday and Friday. We had a delightful time and got to see Robin, Colin and Hope!
We stopped at an Antique Mall in Michigan City. Oddly, Kizie loves antique stores as much and my mom and I do. This is a very early merry-go-round.

I was ridiculously jealous of Kizie's outfit that day. The cheetah print Italian made calf-hair ballet flats are to be envied.

Kizie was a baby hog. Whenever someone else would get Colin, she would steal him back!

Again, the Kiz fits right in. Chicago shopping suits her. One of those crewcuts bags holds a cashmere sweater. Yes, cashmere. It's just too bad she's nothing like me...

Kizie just had to take a picture of me and mom at Benefit. Hence the 'mom is still talking' picture. We both have on our new BadGalPlum mascara!

Tip me over and pour me out...
Yesterday at my doctors appointment, I found out I have a tipped uterus. I know, you all have been dying to know about this. Apparently I'm in the 20-30% of women who have this. There's not really anything bad about it, except that we couldn't hear the heartbeat of the baby yesterday because it's too far back in there!
My doctor gave me three options: 1) Just wait until my next appointment-- in 4 weeks. 2) Come back late next week and we could try with the Doppler again. 3) Schedule an ultrasound so we can see it for sure.
Yes, I have and ultrasound scheduled for next week Tuesday.
Oh, and just for random information to store away, a tipped uterus will right itself within weeks 10 to 12. I was just right at 10 weeks, so it hadn't tipped up yet.
Later this weekend, look for picture from my Chicago trip. My mom and the Kiz are going to see Robin, Colin and Hope! And, maybe, if we have time, do some shopping.
